Review: The Widow by Fiona Barton

Following the twists and turns of an unimaginable crime, The Widow is an electrifying debut thriller that will take you into the dark spaces that exist between a husband and a wife.

There’s a lot Jean hasn’t said over the years about the crime her husband was suspected of committing. She was too busy being the perfect wife, standing by her man while living with the accusing glares and the anonymous harassment.

Now her husband is dead, and there’s no reason to stay quiet. There are people who want to hear her story. They want to know what it was like living with that man. She can tell them that there were secrets. There always are in a marriage.

The truth—that’s all anyone wants. But the one lesson Jean has learned in the last few years is that she can make people believe anything...

I really enjoyed this book but I wish we would have gotten more as the story ended. My predictions were pretty much spot on but I would have liked the author to written more when it came to Jean’s big reveal…

New Release+Review: Christmas with the Billionaire by Lila Monroe

Title: Christmas with the Billionaire Author: Lila Monroe Genre: Romantic Comedy Release Date: November 30, 2017

Blurb

Spice up the holiday season with the hilarious new holiday novella from Lila Monroe.
Dressing up as a sexy elf to sing Christmas hits isn’t exactly the glittering Broadway career I had planned. The only thing more humiliating than my outfit is coming face-to-face with Oliver Gage, the sexy big-shot theatre producer who just crushed my dreams. He’s arrogant, infuriating… and did I mention how sexy he is?
I’ve sworn never to get comfy on the casting couch, but when we’re snowed in together upstate, it’s looking like a pretty good place to spend the night. Soon, sparks - and my panties - are flying.
Who said Christmas only had to come once a year?

ADD TO GOODREADS

I’ve never read anything by Lila Monroe and I have to say she impressed me very much with this holiday novella. The story had me laughing from page one and I read the story in an hour. Everything just flowed and this au…

Review: If There's No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Lena Wise is always looking forward to tomorrow, especially at the start of her senior year. She’s ready to pack in as much friend time as possible, to finish college applications and to maybe let her childhood best friend Sebastian know how she really feels about him. For Lena, the upcoming year is going to be epic—one of opportunities and chances.

Until one choice, one moment, destroys everything.

Now Lena isn’t looking forward to tomorrow. Not when friend time may never be the same. Not when college applications feel all but impossible. Not when Sebastian might never forgive her for what happened.

For what she let happen.

With the guilt growing each day, Lena knows that her only hope is to move on. But how can she move on when her and her friends’ entire existences have been redefined? How can she move on when tomorrow isn’t even guaranteed?

Such an heart warming and gut wrenching about the consequences of our actions and inactions. I thought I knew what this book was going to be a…

Blog Tour+Review: EL Santo by M.Robinson

EL SANTO BLOG TOUR FROM USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR M. ROBINSON
I didn’t know darkness and evil lurked inside me until I had to murder in order to survive. Forced to become my own worst enemy. With so much blood on my hands, I was surprised I could still see my own skin.
I killed.
I tortured.
I loved… I played God while I was rotting in Hell. Thriving on control and power was the only way I knew how to live. There were no other options. If you weren’t my friend, you were my foe. If you weren’t with me, you were against me. Traitors, as I called them. There were no imaginary lines. I’d crossed them all. No boundaries. No second chances. No redemption. Not for me. For them. For anyone. Only for her… She loved me. Always convinced I was a saint, never believing I was just another sinner. A fucking monster.

Until it was too late.

Except, I didn’t choose this life.
It. Chose. Me.

What. A. Ride.

This book had me all over the place as I read! I’ve read a couple books by this author before and I thoug…

Audio Review: Risky Business by Simone Carter

For the second time in six weeks, a local female realtor has been sexually assaulted and murdered during an open house event. The community is asking: Is this the work of a serial killer?

Local realtor, Marissa McCall, knew the latest victim, Staci, for most of her life. They were close friends up until the seventh grade when Staci stole her first boyfriend and attempted to steal every boyfriend she’d ever had after that. They had been fierce competitors in the real estate market as well, but she would have never wished her dead…especially not viciously murdered.

Whilst still contemplating the shocking news, Marissa took an unexpected call from her ex-boyfriend, Aaron Mathews, whom she hadn't seen in almost 20 years. He wanted to view a house, which was a standard request to any realtor, but this house was different. Aaron was interested in the house next door to Marissa's.

She really didn’t want to see him again, never mind live next door to him, but she needed the business and…
