Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg. Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything. So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him. Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on. And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to maintain the club’s best interest, in regards to whether he’s ready to play. But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?
Easton is currently rehabbing an injury. He seems like your typical hot shot player. Or is he? Easton was definitely not what I expected at all. I thought he was going to be some arrogant, cocky athlete with a chip on his shoulder. Turns out I was wrong. He's cocky but in a good way. ;) He has a heart of gold despite everything that's been thrown his way. He won my heart in this book several times with way he cared for Scout. The scene with the puppies has upgraded him to book boyfriend status.
Scout is a sassy and feisty physical therapist. I really loved her because she was basically in a male dominated profession and she was able to hold her own with the boys. As tough as she was on the outside she was vulnerable on the inside. Scout has her own trust issues from her childhood and doesn't like to get close to people.
I loved the banter and connection with Easton and Scout. Easton was persistent and showed Scout it's ok to break down your walls and let love inside. They had some hot chemistry, sexy moments and tender caring moments as well. I love how Bromberg writes couples that I fall in love with 1,2,3. I also wanted to say thank you to K. Bromberg for your dedication to us girls. Thank you for writing books about women kicking ass in male dominated professions and not losing out feminine side as well. You have quickly become one of my go to authors for strong female characters. I can't wait to see how everything unfolds in The Catch. Well done!
