Synopsis: New to the Big Apple, the last thing Lexie Bloom needs is to fall for two guys at once. Especially when she can’t have either. One is her personal trainer, an Adonis way out of her league. The other? A Brit Lit professor her svelte boss insists she woo for her—via text message, no less. Little does she know, the two are the same man… Matthew Hennessey is intrigued by his shy new client at the gym. But before he gets the chance to ask her out, he discovers she’s the one crafting the flirty texts sent to him by a woman who wouldn’t know Lord Byron from Lady Gaga. To get to know her better, he allows Lexie to play her role. She may have given up on the idea of romance, but Matthew’s bound and determined to show her love is alive and well in New York City. goodreads-badge-add-38px

Lexie has moved to New York to pursue her dream to become a playwright and just started working as an assistant in large company.  Matthew works at the company’s gym and is her assigned trainer.  There’s “insta-lust” from both sides, but Lexie has been cheated on before and came to the big city to work hard on her goals.  She is reluctant to trust any man despite her feelings.  Add to that the fact that her boss enlists her to work an angle and get her a date with a man she recently met and who has text her poetry quotes, which she admittedly knows little about.  Lexie finds herself getting to know the hunk from the gym and the romantic soul on the other side of the phone, but what will happen when she discovers they’re both the same guy?
Matthew and Lexie have major flaws.  They both have suffered big losses in their lives and trust is something difficult for them and as he weaves a web of deception in order to find out more about her, he’s risking a future together.
This book is a sweet, modern, lose take on the French classic Cyrano de Bergerac.  In this case the girl is playing Cyrano to get her boss a date with the guy, but he learns of the deception early in the game and uses it to his advantage to try to get the elusive Lexie.  It’s nicely written, quickly developed and, to top it all, loaded with beautiful, romantic quotes that bring a special quality to the story.  If you’re looking for a fast read that will leave a sugary taste and restore your faith in romantic love, pick this one up.

Book Tour: Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan

Blurb
He told me to 'settle, girl.'  He asked if 'something was wrong with me?'  He said I was an ‘easy target.’  That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.  I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.
He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother.
Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.
I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what would happen if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?
This is a story about a girl, her stepbrother and another guy who is the stepbrother’s complete opposite.  If it sounds like a cliché, I promise you it’s not.Summer is starting college and she’s going to the same college as Kevin, her stepbrother.  The small detail here? She’s had a crush on Kevin since HS, since before he became her stepbrot…

Blurb: Finding my best friend and getting the hell out of California is top priority. Especially as the relationship with my rockstar stepbrother becomes more complicated with each passing day...

I’m on the tour bus partying!

The text from my best friend, Ivy, is one of her last. When weeks stretch with no further contact, I travel to L.A. to track down the band known as Rageon and find Ivy.

As the daughter of a groupie mom, and of a rock star father who fatally overdosed, I know the dangers of the world my friend disappeared into.

My ex-stepbrother, Gage, a musician who’s just come off tour invites me to crash at his place.

The last time I saw Gage in person, we were teens. He's everywhere on social media, so I’m prepared for the tattoo-covered rocker who answers my knock. What I’m not expecting to find is the sweet, s…
