Title: Lost in Rewind
Series: Audio Fools #3
Author: Tali Alexander
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense
Release Date: September 1, 2016

Inside every story lies more than one truth.

“Come, boy, I will give you a reading…show me your hands.”

Jeffery Rossi wants to be a man of logic but finds himself basing his life’s decisions on a prophecy delivered at the hands of an old gypsy fortuneteller. The death of his beloved wife coupled with the loss of what he thought would be his carefully crafted future, have spun him onto a path of self-destruction.

“Three children will come from you—a king and two queens.”

Jeff believed he knew how his future would unravel, but he’s about to get a lesson in how the Universe works. Fate should not be left to the interpretation of mere mortals. Interfere and suffer, surrender… and let the fates help you find your destiny.

“No matter what you do, no matter how far away you run, what’s written in the stars cannot be undone.”

'Lost In Rewind' is a full-length standalone, romantic novel, and is the 3rd and final book in the Audio Fools Series.

**All books in the series are interconnected, but each may be read as a standalone**

Love In Rewind
I've heard a lot of good things about these books from my close friend and my reviewer. So I took a chance and ended up really enjoying this story. Emily and Louis have been married for 10 years, have two kids, money and live the "perfect life" but all that glitters isn't gold. They have drifted apart and Emily feels the love is gone. There is no communication and they are two people just existing. The author takes us back to how it all started which I enjoyed. Emily is 18 when she meets Louis. He is 30 and a successful real estate mogul. In typical fashion he woos her and sweeps her off her feet. I felt that Emily was too young to be in a serious relationship with Louis. Along the way she lost herself and gave up her goals to keep him happy. Louis was also very controlling and sometimes treated her like property. He would make decisions on what she should do and I didn't like that from him at all.   A lot of their problems could have been solved if they just communicated and it took a drastic event to bring them back together. This story had everything I enjoy romance, comedy and angst. I also enjoyed the 80's references through out the book.  The ending of the book had me going WTF and I'm so happy I have the next one and can read right away.

Lost In Rewind
I finished Lost in Rewind in one sitting.  I had loved and hated it at times.  I wanted to yell at Jeff and actually slap some sense into him and then love him.  My emotions were all over the place.  Tali has a way to suck you into the story.  By learning the reasons  why Jeff was acting the way he did, I understood him more clearly.

When Jeff was given a reading one night, what the fortune teller told him, struck close to home.  He molded his life to what she told him.  Only did he know, what he thought he knew wasn't really the correct path he should follow.  So many great twist and turns in Lost in Rewind.  At the end I was rooting for Jeff to find his love and happiness.

"Only true love refuses to be stopped by obstacles - distance, reason and logic". I loved this quote.  If you haven't read Audio Fools Series, your missing out.

Book Tour +Review: Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan

He told me to 'settle, girl.'
He asked if 'something was wrong with me?'
He said I was an ‘easy target.’
That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.
I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.

He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother.

Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.

I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what would happen if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?

This is a story about a girl, her stepbrother and another guy who is the stepbrother’s complete opposite.  If it sounds like a cliché, I promise you it’s not.
Summer is starting college and she’s going to the same college as Kevin, her stepbrother.  The small detail here? She’s had a crush on Kevin since HS, since before he became her stepbrother.  When disappointment is the first thing she encounters upon finding Kevin, she turns away and kind of crashes into one of his fraternity brothers.  Caden is handsome to the point of beautiful and she thinks he’s kind of an ass, but as college life starts and things change for Summer, they develop a friendship that makes her realize he’s so much more of what she first thought.
Before I move further, I’ve read my share of Tijan’s books and I’ve love them all so far, but this book is somewhat different of the ones I’ve read before and so much more.  Everything about it appealed to me: the storyline, the relationships and interactions between the characters both the main and secondary ones, the background of each character.
Summer and Caden have some serious issues to deal with and their personalities are so different, but each one lovable nonetheless.  While she is quirky, sarcastic and funny, he’s all brooding and mature and they complement each other beautifully.  I liked so much how the relationship between them builds up from scratch, how they are friends first and how they find their way into it by being there and giving space to each other as needed and growing into a couple instead of happening overnight.
This book made me laugh, want to just throw my Kindle against the wall and brought tears to my eyes.  Even after finishing it, I read the last sentence and tears come every time.  I honestly believe you won’t be disappointed by Tijan’s Anti Stepbrother.

Going in I just knew how this book was going to turn out and I was so happy to be wrong!

Summer has had a crush on her stepbrother, Kevin for two years. Summer follows Kevin to the same college in hopes that they will get together. That doesn't quite work out in her favor which is a good thing!

“I want more than that. I want it all. You. Your laugh.” He pressed a kiss to the side of my mouth. “Your random idiocy that I find hilarious.” A kiss to the other side. “Your kindness.”

Summer and Caden, I loved these two separately and as a couple! Their friendship, their banter and them just being them gave me all the feels. Caden was closed off and broody. Summer was quirky and funny. I really liked Summer's character and I could relate to her on a personal level.  I really loved how their relationship took time and it was a slow burn. They started out as friends and things progressed from there. When they finally do get together you feel their passion and it was just everything I love!

Summer and Caden are both dealing with family issues. Caden is the protector of his brothers and has a big burden to carry. No one should have to carry all this weight and especially alone. Summer has never processed and coped with her mothers death. Together they find a way to heal. Seeing them be there for each other was just everything. They opened up and discussed and discovered things about themselves they didn't want to but they need to find. This is what being in a relationship is all about. Accepting your partner faults and all and still loving them. This story truly sucked me in and I loved every minute of this book. Well done Tijan!

Author Information

I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

Review Tour: Cupcake Overload by Bethany Lopez

Cupcake Overload (Cupcakes #2) by Bethany Lopez

One night I was out with my girls enjoying a much needed ladies night while wondering if one more dirty martini would push me over the edge. The next thing I knew, I was in the club’s bathroom listening to a woman screaming, “No,” and a man’s voice growling, “I know you want it.”

That asshole picked the wrong restroom, in the wrong club, at the wrong time.

Little did I know the asshole was Cade’s VP, and although we saved that woman from his clutches that night, she’d be found floating in a motel pool a month later.

Running a PI firm is a lot harder than taking pictures for one, especially when your professional life spills over into your personal one. I’m going through cupcakes like our new puppy goes through piddle pads, and if I’m not careful there’s bound to be a Cupcake Overload.

This was my first time reading anything by this author and I loved this book. The characters were are relatable and I felt like one of the bunch while I reading. Even though this was the second book in the series I didn't feel out of the loop at all. I'm a big fan of romance and mysteries and this book was the perfect combination. We had several laugh out moments and some sexy moments as well. Lila and Cade are in a committed relationship and seeing how he interacts with her kids makes my heart melt. The secondary characters are awesome. The mystery part of the story was good and it wasn't over the top. This story as a whole  was just what I needed. I enjoyed this story so much I even purchased the first book in the series. If you are looking for a funny, romantic, mystery book this series is for you.

New Release: EL Diablo by M.Robinson

I was ruthless.
I was feared.
I had sacrificed. Myself. Her. Everything...
Living in a world where I was worth more dead than alive was a choice. I was a bad man, never claimed to be anything else. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. Seen things that can’t be unseen. I’ve caused pain that I can’t undo.
It was all my choice.
Every decision.
Every order.
Right and wrong never mattered.
Until her.
She was under my protection, until she became my obsession.
But who was going to save her...
From. Me. The devil himself.

Fate brought us together. Destiny destroyed us.

“Go stretch again, cariño,” I ordered in a dominant tone. Nodding to the barre.
“I’m fine,” she stubbornly replied. Shaking her legs and arms out. Getting back into position, looking at me through the mirror.
I cocked my head to the side, arching an eyebrow. She narrowed her eyes at me, but begrudgingly listened. I pressed play, allowing the melody to once again take over. She placed her leg on the lowest barre, making her ass stick out in my direction.
Tempting me.
She closed her eyes, needing to get lost in the music, wanting to push away all the negative thoughts, already feeling discouraged. I stood, taking off my suit jacket. Rolling up the sleeves of my collared shirt as I stepped onto the hardwood floor. I slowly came up behind her, catching her off guard.
She froze, turning around, opening her eyes. Peering up at me through her lashes. “What are you doing?”
I leaned forward against her ear, grinning. “I’m helping you stretch.” Getting down on my knees in front of her.
Her eyes dilated. The feeling of disappointment replaced with nothing but lust. She placed her arms out to the side, resting up against the barre, supporting her weight. I grabbed her ankle, lifting it up in the air, rubbing along her leg as it was fully stretched, before setting it on the lowest barre. Running my other hand up her side, easing her over toward the extended leg. She understood what I was doing, reaching for her ankle, stretching. Standing back up, bringing her arms above her head, I caressed along her leg again, casually turning her torso so her leg was still placed on the barre behind her.
Her breathing hitched as I touched her all over her lower body. My lips softly kissing the inside of her thigh to where she wanted my mouth the most.

New Release+Review: Spiked Lemonade by Shari J. Ryan

Cover Design: MadHat Books
Release Date: August 29, 2016
I traded in my Navy uniform and short hair for tats and a scruffy beard to become a man on the run. Moving from town to town, taking comfort in hot cars and fast women was the only way I could outrun the nightmares. Then I met her… Looking like a Southern Belle in a small Texas town, all layered in pretty dresses and perfume, I call her beautiful. She calls me a perv. This beauty won’t admit I have something she wants (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), or that I’m the one she’s looking for, but I love that she has something I never knew I needed. I may be labeled as a jerk, but she’s going to fall in love with me, and I’m going to make her cuss and drink whisky instead of lemonade. Why? Because sometimes beauty comes with a dirty mouth and sometimes your lemonade needs to be spiked.
We have good girl, Sasha and alpha male with a soft side, Jags. They are complete opposites and like the old saying goes those usually attract. I loved Jags in this book but Sasha was such a stick in the mud. She was very high strung,  very judgmental and quick to have her nose in the air. As the book progresses she finally loses up and I was able to tolerate her better. Her best friend Cali and her husband Tango made this book for me!! They are so hilarious and I loved their relationship. Ok, back to Jags and Sasha, they go through some stuff before they finally get it together. Sasha, has an ex boyfriend, Landon who is stalking her and won't stop until he gets her back. I was expecting more when it came to this part of the storyline but it kinda felt flat for me. This book does have some hilarious laugh out loud moments. The romantic comedy aspect of this book was great but the suspense fell flat. I will definitely be checking out Cali and Tango's book since I liked them so much. Oh and I can't forget Bambi! I hope we get a story about her as she is another interesting character. Ryan is a new to me author and I was impressed with my first book by her.

Review Tour: Wait by A.L. Jackson

From NYT & USA Today bestselling author comes a new Bleeding Stars stand-alone novel… She is his strength and he is her weakness. And this time he won’t let her go.   Edie Evans is gorgeous. Sexy. Kind. She’s also the definition of off-limits. But that didn't stop me from sneaking into her room to comfort her at night. But guys like me? We destroy everything, so it should have been no surprise when I destroyed us, too. The night I sent her running, I thought I’d never see her again. Until I saw her standing like a vision in the crowd.   Austin Stone is dangerous. Alluring. Tempting. He broke my heart and I refused to give him the chance to do it again. It’s been years since I’ve seen him, and now I can’t do anything but stare at the gorgeous, tattooed man playing onstage. I should run. I know I should. But like a fool, I run straight back to him. Our desire is overpowering. Our need unrelenting. She is my hope. He is my weakness. We should have known a passion this intense would burn us right into the ground.

I've been a big fan of Jackson since When We Collide. I've been hearing good things about this series and had to check it out! Austin and Edie have endured so much heartbreak as teenagers. It seems only right they would find each other. They were together until a misunderstanding tears them apart. They spend several years just going through the motions. One night they are reunited and they pick back up where they left off. During this time they learn things about each other and are able to break down their walls. We do have some angsty moments and I wasn't sure how it would work out in the end. One thing about Jackson is that she knows how to write a story. The words just flowed and her storytelling is flawless. As a fan of her older works I was expecting my heart to be ripped out and gutted but with this book I came out unscathed. With that being said I still enjoyed this book. I think long time fans of Jackson will enjoy the story.  I will be sure to check the other books in this series.

“Shit,” I hissed, bracing myself against the spray of the icy shards pelting from the shower head. I sucked in a breath, released it between clenched teeth, and forced myself fully under it. Head dropped and chest heaving as rivers of ice-cold water slicked down my shoulders and back. But it did nothing to lessen the need. Gave me no sanity or pacification. Because all I could think about was the girl on the other side of the door. My girl. In my bed. Wearing just her panties and my shirt. An angel I wanted to dirty. I always had. Love was messy like that. All of my restraint scattered. I gripped my cock. Squeezed the base. My mouth dropped open at the pressure of my hand against my rigid length. A fool thinking it might be enough. Shit. God, I was a bastard, but there was nothing I could do before I was giving in, leaning forward and bracketing my forearm above my head to hold my weight. Water pounded down on my head and back while I pounded my fist against my dick. Trying to keep silent when all I wanted was to moan, teeth digging into my bottom lip as I pictured the girl spread out for me. My breaths were coming short. Panted and hard. I gave into imagining the sounds she would make when I finally got to bury myself in her body. A soft, soft gasp. I slowed, trying to convince myself that throaty sound was all in my mind. Just another part of this fantasy. Until I heard the small thump against the wall. Shit. I mashed my eyes closed, like it might hide me. Conceal the depravity of my actions after I’d just been comforting her hours before. Heart thrashing, I turned and moved far enough to peek out the small section where the fabric shower curtain hadn’t been drawn fully closed. It was just a little sliver that left me exposed. But it was enough. When I peered out, I was looking right at my girl pressed up against the wall. She stared right back at me. And I wanted to be horrified, my mind scrambling to conjure every weak apology I could summon. Ready to fucking grovel to keep her from turning and running once again. Because that’s exactly what I expected her to do. But her expression…her expression clutched me in the center of the chest and sent what little brain function I had left stampeding south. Red, lush lips were parted, her hand pressed to her hollow of her throat, pupils dilated so big that her hooded, cerulean eyes appeared black. Needy breaths were coming at me from that sweet mouth like a goddamned freight train. Desire swelled in the confines of the too-tight room. Alive. She pressed deeper into the wall as if it might support her weakened knees. Head rocked back. Thighs squeezing together. Motherfuck. My hand shot to the shower wall to steady myself. “Warning you, Edie, you need to get out of here. Right now.”         Wait_20

2 BookCover6x9_BW_200 copy 2

WARNING: This book is for mature readers only. Not for children. It contains adult themes, violence, coarse language, sexual situations, nudity, and paranormal themes.
The Adventure Continues... From author Golden Czermak, comes the second installment of the enthralling Journeyman Series. With no answers and a weapon of mass destruction slung around his neck, Gage Crosse is left with little choice but to travel with Joey Mosely to New York, seeking aid from the Order Council itself. Little do they know that they are about to embark on what may be the greatest adventure of their lives: to find the mysterious Seal of Solomon. Meanwhile, the fragile threads holding the demon army and its monstrous allies together are unraveling. Keli must act quickly to maintain her position as ruler, else have all their efforts fall into the flames of ruin. Can the Journeymen keep the Seal of Solomon out of demon hands, or will the Noctis succeed in wrenching all three artifacts from their control?

Normally in a series the second book isn't as good as the first. Seal of Solomon isn't one of those books! This story picks up right where we left off! I had so many questions and glad they were answered but now I have more!!! The struggle is so real!! Joey, My heart ached for you in this one baby!! That's all I will say since I don't want to spoil anything. I knew that was going to happen but it still didn't hurt any less. We also got more of Marcus. I'm really liking his character and glad we got more of him in this book. I feel like his a perfect addition to the group.

Gage and Ady!  These two had me going through it!!! After the last book I had my heart shattered and cursed the author for making me cry!!  This couple have endured so much and I needed to know everything would get better.  There was one scene that made me choke up and I was like come on, Gage, you gotta get your girl!!! For those who have read the first book you know what I'm talking about! I don't want to spoil anything but I can say, I won't be able to look at pancake batter again without blushing.

As usual the last few chapters SUCKED me in and had  me at the edge of my seat!! Like how does Czermak do this every time I read his books! Let's talk about that ending!! Why must you torment me??? What did I do to deserve such treatment?!!  I can't wait for the next book because the Journeymen will have their hands full with Dajjal!! I'm intrigued by this character and it seems like I have a thing for bad boys plus demons!

Czermak's story telling and writing in this book outstanding. Everything just came together in this book and I enjoyed the ride!  I LOVED his attention to detail and how I can envision myself in the story. I felt like I was in the book fighting the good fight!! That's one of my favorite things about this series I can see the plot and action unfolding in my head. I'm so delighted that my love for paranormal has been rejuvenated by this series! Czermak's  writing and storytelling has only gotten better and I can't wait for Made To Suffer!
