Review: One To Keep by Tia Louise

One to Keep (One to Hold, #2)One to Keep by Tia Louise
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So next up is Patrick and Elaine story, we are introduced to them in One To Hold. I have to say this book really surprised me. There was a lot of stuff that I wasn't expecting. I had a hard time at first with the relationship with Patrick and Elaine. Patrick had just recently hooked up with another woman and then boom he’s head over heels for Elaine?? WTH??? So as the story line continues I do feel the connection between the two and all is right in my world…….right?? Well I was wrong!!!!! Patrick’s hook up from his past comes back to haunt him. Kenny aka “the hookup” is pregnant and yup you guessed it Patrick’s the father!!! Talk about major gut punch!! I honestly had to put the book down for a few days and stop reading.

I couldn't believe this evil author would do this me!!! Just when I think I know what’s going to happen Louise throws a curveball. She really knows how to keep you guessing and holding your breath. So after several pep talks (to myself) I finally went back to reading because I NEEDED to know what was going to happen next. I can’t even begin to describe the emotions that went through me as I continued to read this book. My heart was hurting so badly for the both of them. Poor Elaine how do you meet the “man of your dreams” and then find out he has another girl pregnant. I would have died if this ever happen to me!! I was pissed at Patrick for not letting Elaine know about Kenny when he had the chance.. I know Patrick didn't mean for this to happen but why didn't he use a condom??!!! Like this all could have been prevented but whats done is done……….

Somehow they are able to work through this and get back together. Kenny is going to have the baby, meanwhile Patrick and Elaine will raise the child. This doesn't sit well with me but only time will tell how everything works out in the end for the couple. We do get Melissa and Derek from the first book in this story as well. It was nice seeing their relationship progress. I honestly do enjoy this series and I can’t wait to read the next book and see where the in stored for everyone!! If you are looking for a series that will keep you guessing, that is steamy and romantic then this series is for you!!
